Walking Taco Bake is a cheesy, hearty casserole made with seasoned ground beef, crunchy chips, melted cheese, and fresh taco toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups corn chips or tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup black beans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup corn (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Toppings: sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes, then simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Layer chips in the baking dish.
  5. Add the beef mixture on top of the chips.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Add fresh toppings and serve immediately.
