  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms optional
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce optional
  • 12 butter lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry lettuce leaves well.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, hoisin, vinegar, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and chili sauce.
  3. Heat oil in skillet.
  4. Cook onion until softened.
  5. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  6. Add turkey and cook until browned.
  7. Stir in carrot, pepper, and mushrooms if using.
  8. Pour in sauce and cook until slightly thickened.
  9. Stir in green onions.
  10. Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves.
  11. Top with sesame seeds if desired and serve.
