  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs optional
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter for topping
  • 1/2 cup extra cheese optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a casserole dish.
  2. Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
  3. Melt butter in saucepan and whisk in flour for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
  5. Cook until sauce thickens slightly.
