Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a square or round baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Toss chopped strawberries lightly in flour, then fold them gently into the batter.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  9. Optional: Mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the cake.
