Strawberry Ghosts are an easy, fun, and festive Halloween treat made with fresh strawberries dipped in white chocolate and decorated with spooky faces. Perfect for parties, kids’ activities, or edible gifts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
  • 8 oz white melting chocolate or candy melts
  • 1 oz milk or dark melting chocolate (for face)
  • Parchment paper (for lining the tray)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Let them come to room temperature.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Melt white chocolate slowly over low heat or using a double boiler, stirring constantly.
  4. Dip each strawberry into the melted white chocolate at an angle. Drag the bottom slightly on parchment to create a ghost tail and place it flat on the tray.
  5. Let the chocolate set at room temperature until firm.
  6. Melt milk or dark chocolate and transfer it to a piping bag or Ziploc with the tip cut off.
  7. Pipe two eyes and a small oval mouth onto each strawberry to create the ghost face.
  8. Optional: Chill in fridge for 10 minutes to set faster.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping or chocolate won’t stick.
  • Use room temperature berries to prevent chocolate cracking.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 2–3 days with paper towels and baking soda to reduce condensation.
  • Do not freeze—strawberries will become mushy upon thawing.
  • Decorate with candy eyes or sprinkles for a creative twist.
