Shepherd’s Pie is a classic comfort dish made with seasoned meat, vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Boil and mash potatoes with butter and milk.
  2. Cook ground meat with onion and garlic.
  3. Add vegetables, broth, tomato paste, and seasoning.
  4. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Spread filling in baking dish.
  6. Top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) until golden.
  8. Let rest before serving.
