Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 medium onion, cut into chunks
  • Skewers (metal or soaked wooden)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into evenly sized cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak cubes and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours for best flavor.
  5. Cut the vegetables into pieces similar in size to the steak cubes.
  6. Thread steak and vegetables alternately onto skewers.
  7. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).
  8. Lightly oil the grill grates and place the skewers on the grill.
  9. Grill for 8–12 minutes, turning occasionally until the steak is cooked to desired doneness.
  10. Remove from the grill, allow to rest for a few minutes, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use tender cuts like sirloin or ribeye for the best texture.
  • Fresh rosemary provides the best flavor, but dried rosemary can also be used.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Avoid overcrowding the skewers for even cooking.
  • Let the kebabs rest briefly after grilling to retain juices.
