Puff Pastry Christmas Tree Pizza Bites are a quick, festive, and delicious holiday appetizer made with flaky puff pastry, mozzarella cheese, and flavorful pizza sauce—perfect for parties, kids, and seasonal celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Puff Pastry rectangular roll
  • 1/2 cup Tomato passata (plain)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Olive Oil (extra virgin)
  • 1/8 teaspoon Dried Oregano (optional)
  • 1 Mozzarella ball (or shredded mozzarella)
  • Mini pepperoni or other toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry onto a lined baking sheet.
  3. Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut out tree shapes from the pastry.
  4. Remove excess dough and spread the trees slightly apart on the tray.
  5. In a bowl, mix tomato passata, olive oil, salt, and oregano to make the pizza sauce.
  6. Spoon a small amount of sauce onto each tree shape.
  7. Top each tree with shredded mozzarella and optional toppings like mini pepperoni.
  8. Bake on the lower rack for 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm, ideally with optional dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Thaw puff pastry in the fridge overnight or at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Don’t overload with sauce to avoid sogginess.
  • Freeze unbaked bites on a tray, then store in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5–10 minutes; avoid microwaving.
  • Customize toppings with veggies, different cheeses, or holiday-colored ingredients.
