Pizza Grilled Cheese combines the best of two comfort food classics—crispy buttery bread, gooey mozzarella, and zesty marinara sauce for the ultimate melty sandwich you can make in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices white or sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 810 slices pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Mix softened butter with garlic powder and oregano. Spread on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place two slices buttered side down on a flat surface. Spread marinara sauce on top.
  3. Add half of the mozzarella, pepperoni slices, Parmesan, and the rest of the mozzarella.
  4. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
  6. Remove from pan, slice diagonally, and serve with extra marinara for dipping.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded mozzarella for a smoother melt.
  • Keep heat on medium-low to avoid burning before the cheese melts.
  • Add veggies like mushrooms or spinach for variation.
  • For extra crispiness, lightly toast bread before assembling.
