A rich, indulgent no-bake chocolate orange cheesecake made with dark chocolate, fresh orange zest, and a biscuit base. Perfect for holidays, gatherings, or a make-ahead dessert with no oven required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g Oreo cookies or Bourbon biscuits (split and filling removed)
  • 120g unsalted butter, melted
  • 300g Philadelphia full-fat cream cheese
  • 60g icing sugar
  • 50ml orange liqueur (optional)
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • Juice of 12 oranges
  • 300ml double cream (heavy cream)
  • 300g dark chocolate
  • Optional toppings: Terry’s Chocolate Orange wedges, grated chocolate, candied orange peel, chocolate ganache

Instructions

  1. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge 1 hour ahead to soften.
  2. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the base of a 20cm loose-bottom flan tin lined with parchment paper. Chill in the fridge.
  4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, icing sugar, orange zest, juice, and liqueur (if using) until smooth.
  5. Add 250ml of the double cream and beat until creamy and well combined.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate with the remaining 50ml cream over a double boiler.
  7. Fold the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Pour the filling over the chilled biscuit base and smooth the top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours, preferably overnight, until set.
  10. Decorate as desired before serving.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use GF biscuits and chocolate.
  • To make kid-friendly, omit the liqueur and use more juice or extract.
  • Do not overmix the filling to avoid a soft set.
  • Freeze for 30–60 minutes if the cheesecake hasn’t set firmly in the fridge.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture and stability.
