Korean Strawberry Milk is a refreshing, fruity beverage made with real strawberries, milk, and a hint of sweetness. It’s a popular drink in Korean cafés, known for its natural flavor and aesthetic appeal.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries – ripe and juicy for natural sweetness
  • Sugar – to macerate the berries and enhance flavor
  • Lemon juice (optional) – adds brightness and balance
  • Milk – use whole or plant-based milk for the base
  • Ice (optional) – for a chilled, refreshing finish

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and dice the strawberries.
  2. Combine strawberries with sugar (and lemon juice if using) and let sit for 10–15 minutes to macerate.
  3. Lightly mash the mixture to create a chunky compote or puree.
  4. Spoon the strawberry compote into the bottom of a clear glass.
  5. Slowly pour chilled milk over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve layers.
  6. Add ice if desired and let chill for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir gently before drinking or enjoy layered.

Notes

  • Use seasonal, fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the fruit.
  • Chill ingredients before assembling to reduce the need for ice.
  • Store strawberry compote in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Use a clear glass for maximum visual appeal.
