  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast (or thighs), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes. Add cooking oil.
  3. Add chicken in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip and cook for another 4–5 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. Reduce heat slightly and add butter and minced garlic. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly.
  7. Cook for 1–2 minutes until sauce lightly thickens and coats the chicken.
  8. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
