Heart shaped pepperoni pizza is a fun, adorable, and delicious way to celebrate Valentine’s Day or any special occasion. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s perfect for couples, families, or themed parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought, approx. 13.8 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 30 slices pepperoni (cut into heart shapes)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a pizza pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Fold each pepperoni slice in half and cut a small triangle from the rounded edge to create heart shapes. Microwave them on a paper towel-lined plate for 15 seconds to remove excess grease.
  3. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough into a heart shape. Fold and press edges to create a crust.
  4. Transfer dough to the baking sheet. Brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil and poke with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  5. Blind bake the crust for 6 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and spread sauce evenly. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, and heart-shaped pepperoni. Drizzle remaining olive oil if desired.
  7. Return to oven and bake for 8–12 minutes until crust is golden and pepperoni is crispy.
  8. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley or basil if using, and let sit for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Microwaving pepperoni helps reduce grease for a cleaner pizza.
  • Blind baking ensures a crisp crust and prevents sogginess.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Pizza can be frozen before baking and cooked straight from frozen.
