Graduation Cap Cookies are festive treats designed to look like graduation caps, made from square cookies, mini peanut butter cups, and decorated with chocolate and candy tassels. Perfect for celebrating graduations with a creative and delicious touch.

Ingredients

  • Square-shaped cookies – forms the base of the cap
  • Chocolate squares – serves as the top of the cap
  • Mini peanut butter cups – base of the graduation cap
  • Melted chocolate – acts as adhesive
  • Licorice strings or fondant – forms the tassel
  • Candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s) – button on top of the cap

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  3. Unwrap the mini peanut butter cups and place them upside down on the baking sheet.
  4. Dip the bottom of a chocolate square in melted chocolate and press onto the flat end of the peanut butter cup.
  5. Cut licorice strings into 2-inch pieces and use a dab of chocolate to attach to the center of the square.
  6. Place a candy-coated chocolate on top of the tassel to secure it.
  7. Chill the assembled cookies in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set.
  8. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use colored candy melts to match school colors.
  • Work quickly with melted chocolate to prevent hardening during assembly.
  • Chill between steps to maintain shape.
  • Personalize with edible markers by writing the graduate’s name or year on the cap.
