This Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese recipe combines the crispy, buttery goodness of garlic bread with the melty comfort of classic grilled cheese. It’s easy to make, takes just minutes, and delivers the perfect balance of crunch and gooeyness in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of sourdough or Italian bread (medium-thick)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until smooth.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place shredded cheese between two slices of bread, buttered sides facing out.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat.
  5. Grill the sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
  6. Remove from the pan, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for a stronger flavor or garlic powder for convenience.
  • Cook on medium-low heat to prevent burning and ensure even melting.
  • For a healthier option, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes instead of pan-frying.
  • Add extras like tomato, bacon, or spinach for variety.
