  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup melted butter with granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 22–25 minutes. Let cool completely.
  6. Melt chocolate and allow it to cool slightly.
  7. Beat remaining butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  8. Add melted chocolate and mix until smooth.
  9. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form and gently fold into chocolate mixture.
  10. Spread the silk layer evenly over cooled brownies.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours until set.
  12. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
