French Dip Sliders are warm, cheesy roast beef sandwiches baked on soft rolls and served with a flavorful au jus dipping sauce. Perfect for parties, game days, family dinners, and entertaining.

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: caramelized onions
  • Optional: sautéed mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally while keeping them connected.
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the baking dish.
  5. Layer roast beef evenly across the rolls.
  6. Add provolone cheese over the roast beef.
  7. Add optional onions or mushrooms if desired.
  8. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
  9. Combine melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley.
  10. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops.
  11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  12. Bake for 20 minutes.
  13. Remove foil and continue baking for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  14. Prepare au jus according to package directions.
  15. Slice into individual sliders.
  16. Serve warm with au jus for dipping.

  • Use quality roast beef for the best flavor.
  • Provolone cheese is traditional but Swiss cheese also works well.
  • Do not overbake to prevent dry sandwiches.
  • Covering with foil helps keep the rolls soft.
