Festive Brie with Honey and Nuts is a quick and elegant holiday appetizer featuring a melty wheel of Brie topped with sweet honey, crunchy nuts, and dried fruit—perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp chopped pistachios
  • 4 dried apricots, chopped
  • 1 sprig thyme (optional)
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate arils

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Score the top rind of the Brie in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Place the Brie in a small cast iron skillet or shallow baking dish. If transferring later, place on parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle honey over the top, then add chopped walnuts, pistachios, apricots, and thyme.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the top is soft and the cheese is melty.
  6. Remove from the oven, top with pomegranate arils and an extra drizzle of honey if desired.
  7. Serve immediately with crackers, toasted baguette, or fruit slices.

Notes

  • Use a whole wheel of Brie with the rind intact for best results.
  • Toast the nuts beforehand for deeper flavor.
  • Prepare ahead and bake right before serving.
  • Brie stays melty for about 15–20 minutes; serve immediately.
  • Try different toppings like fig jam, maple syrup, or cranberries for variations.
