  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Toss chopped strawberries lightly in flour, then fold them gently into the batter.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool completely in the pan before removing.
  9. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread and let it set before slicing.
  11. Slice and serve.
