Doritos casserole is a cheesy, comforting baked dish made with layers of seasoned meat, creamy sauce, melted cheese, and crunchy Doritos chips. It’s an easy and satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or shredded chicken
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or chicken until fully cooked.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and soup. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a baking dish, add a layer of crushed Doritos.
  6. Spread a layer of the meat mixture over the chips.
  7. Add a layer of shredded cheese.
  8. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add fresh Doritos on top in the last 5 minutes for extra crunch.
  • Use pre-cooked chicken to save time.
  • Adjust seasoning to control spice level.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat in oven for best texture.
