Creamy Ranch Chicken CrockPot is an easy slow cooker comfort meal made with tender chicken cooked in a rich ranch-flavored cream sauce. This simple recipe requires minimal prep and creates a satisfying dinner perfect for serving with rice, pasta, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken thighs
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts or chicken thighs into the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix, black pepper, and garlic powder over the chicken.
  3. Add the cream cheese and cream of chicken soup on top of the chicken.
  4. Pour the milk into the crockpot to help create the creamy sauce.
  5. Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours.
  6. About halfway through cooking, gently stir the sauce so the cream cheese melts evenly.
  7. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it using two forks if desired.
  8. Stir the shredded chicken back into the creamy ranch sauce.
  9. Add shredded cheese if desired and allow it to melt into the sauce.
  10. Serve warm over rice, pasta, or with vegetables and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs stay extra tender during slow cooking.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add a small amount of milk to adjust the consistency.
  • Shredding the chicken allows it to absorb more of the creamy ranch sauce.
  • This recipe pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
