Cool Whip Candy is a creamy, no-bake chocolate treat made with Cool Whip and melted chocolate chips. This easy homemade dessert is light, fluffy, and perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Cool Whip (thawed)
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers (optional, for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Toppings as desired (crushed nuts, coconut flakes, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly for 2 minutes.
  3. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Do not overmix.
  4. Add vanilla extract and stir lightly until combined.
  5. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30–45 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Scoop the chilled mixture into bite-sized balls and place them back in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  7. Melt the chocolate melting wafers and let cool slightly.
  8. Dip each candy ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
  9. Place candies on a clean parchment sheet and add toppings before the coating sets.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

  • Do not overheat chocolate or it may seize.
  • Cool Whip provides stability — homemade whipped cream can be used but will yield a softer texture.
  • Store candies in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for 2 months.
  • Experiment with mix-ins like crushed cookies, peanut butter, or caramel drizzle for unique variations.
