  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream, softened

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Add milk gradually until the dough reaches a soft, spreadable consistency.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Press half of the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan and freeze for 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the chilled cookie dough layer.
  9. Flatten the remaining cookie dough between sheets of parchment paper and carefully place it over the ice cream layer.
  10. Freeze the entire pan for at least 4 hours or overnight until completely firm.
  11. Lift the dessert out of the pan using the parchment paper.
  12. Cut into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife.
  13. Serve immediately or wrap individual sandwiches and return them to the freezer.
