This Coca-Cola Chicken recipe creates tender, juicy chicken thighs glazed in a sweet and savory cola sauce. Perfect for family dinners, it’s easy to prepare with just a few simple ingredients.

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 can (12 oz) Coca-Cola
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Optional: 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • Optional: 1 tsp chili flakes or sriracha for heat

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Optional: marinate with soy sauce and garlic for 20 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine Coca-Cola, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Add ginger or chili if desired.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet or wok over medium heat. Brown chicken on both sides.
  4. Pour Coca-Cola mixture over chicken and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook uncovered for 25–30 minutes, turning chicken occasionally, until sauce thickens into a glaze and chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • Use regular Coca-Cola for the richest caramelized flavor.
  • Don’t add extra sugar—the soda provides plenty.
  • Try this recipe with wings or drumsticks for variety.
