Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate cake (89 inch, baked and cooled)
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup crushed cookies or chocolate chips (optional)
  • Sprinkles or nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake or prepare the chocolate cake and let it cool completely.
  2. Remove ice cream from freezer and let it soften slightly.
  3. Place cake layer in a pan or springform pan.
  4. Spread softened ice cream evenly over the cake.
  5. Drizzle fudge sauce and add optional mix-ins.
  6. Add another cake layer if desired.
  7. Freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.
  8. Spread whipped topping over the cake.
  9. Decorate with toppings as desired.
  10. Freeze until ready to serve, then slice and enjoy.
