Caramel Apple Pie Bombs are quick and delicious handheld fall desserts made with crescent rolls, spiced apple filling, and gooey caramel sauce. Perfect for parties, holidays, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium tart apples (e.g., Granny Smith), peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 16 refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop apples into 1/2-inch pieces.
  2. In a skillet, combine apples, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and ginger.
  3. Cook until apples start to soften, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add flour and caramel sauce, stir well, and cook for another minute.
  5. Remove from heat and let filling cool completely.
  6. Unroll crescent dough and place each triangle flat on a surface.
  7. Place 1½ tablespoons of filling on the wider end of each triangle.
  8. Fold and roll dough to seal the filling inside; pinch all seams shut.
  9. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and sugar.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–17 minutes, until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly before serving. Optional: drizzle with extra caramel.

Notes

  • Always cool the filling before assembling to prevent dough from tearing.
  • Do not overfill to avoid leaking during baking.
  • Puff pastry can be used instead of crescent rolls for a flakier texture.
  • These can be frozen unbaked and baked straight from the freezer.
  • Best served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
