Cajun Shrimp is a Louisiana-inspired seafood dish featuring tender shrimp coated in a smoky, spicy Cajun seasoning blend and cooked to perfection in minutes.

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, white pepper, oregano, thyme, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Toss shrimp with the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add shrimp in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  7. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
  8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp or they may become rubbery.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level.
  • Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor significantly.
  • Large or jumbo shrimp work best.
