This easy Butterbeer recipe is a magical, non-alcoholic drink inspired by the Harry Potter universe, made with just four ingredients. It’s creamy, sweet, and perfect for themed parties, movie nights, or cozy evenings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cream soda
  • 2 tablespoons butterscotch syrup (plus extra for drizzle)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a chilled bowl, whip 1/2 cup of heavy cream with a hand or stand mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  3. In each glass, pour 2 ounces of cream soda and 1 tablespoon of butterscotch syrup. Stir until well blended.
  4. Divide the remaining cream soda between the two glasses and stir gently to maintain carbonation.
  5. Top each glass with whipped cream, using a piping bag for a decorative finish if desired.
  6. Drizzle extra butterscotch syrup over the whipped cream and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store-bought whipped cream can be used for convenience.
  • Caramel syrup can substitute for butterscotch syrup.
  • Chill the bowl and beaters before whipping cream for better results.
  • To make it hot, warm the cream soda and syrup before assembling.
  • To make it frozen, blend cream soda with ice and top with whipped cream.
