This edible brownie batter is a safe-to-eat, no-bake dessert made without eggs and with heat-treated flour. It’s rich, fudgy, and perfect for kids, parties, or a quick chocolate fix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ⅓ cup butter (regular or vegan), melted
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 36 tablespoons milk (regular or plant-based)
  • ¼ cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it for 1–2 minutes or baking at 350°F for 5 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the brown and granulated sugars until combined.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until fully combined.
  5. Add 3 tablespoons of milk, mixing well. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Fold in chopped chocolate or chocolate chips if using.
  7. Serve immediately or store for later use.

Notes

  • Ensure flour is properly heat-treated for safety.
  • Let flour cool before mixing to avoid melting the sugar mixture.
  • Adjust milk or flour based on texture preferences.
  • Can be portioned into single servings or frozen as bites.
  • Use any preferred milk and butter type (regular or vegan).
