This blueberry lemonade recipe combines sweet, juicy blueberries with fresh lemon juice to create a refreshing, vibrant drink perfect for summer gatherings or everyday hydration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 5-6 large lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (or 1/2 cup honey, adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or thawed frozen)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 cups cold water
  • Ice (as needed for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine lemon juice, sugar (or honey), blueberries, and hot water.
  2. Blend until smooth and the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp (optional).
  4. Add cold water and stir well to combine.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or blueberries if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen blueberries—both work well.
  • For a fizzier version, add sparkling water just before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Make it boozy by adding a shot of vodka or white rum per glass.
  • Turn into popsicles or slushies for a kid-friendly frozen treat.
