This quick and easy Blender Salsa is a flavorful homemade dip made in just 5 minutes with canned stewed tomatoes, green chilies, jalapeño, cilantro, and green onions. Perfect for chips, tacos, and gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes (plain or Mexican-style)
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies
  • 1 bunch green onions, roughly chopped (white parts + 2″ green)
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 1 small jalapeño, diced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender: tomatoes, green chilies, green onions, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pulse 3–5 times until desired texture is reached. Do not purée.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning or heat level if needed.
  4. Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes for deeper flavor.

Notes

  • Use stewed tomatoes for a rich and slightly sweet flavor.
  • For milder salsa, remove seeds and ribs from the jalapeño.
  • This salsa is best served fresh; avoid freezing.
  • Great as a dip, topping, or marinade.
