Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are juicy chicken pieces threaded on skewers, grilled or baked until tender, and coated in a creamy sweet chili bang bang sauce. This easy recipe is perfect for appetizers, BBQ meals, or quick dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into evenly sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning.
  4. Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers.
  5. Preheat a grill, oven, or air fryer.
  6. Cook the skewers for about 10–12 minutes on the grill, 18–20 minutes in the oven at 400°F (200°C), or 10–12 minutes in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C).
  7. Ensure the chicken is fully cooked and lightly golden.
  8. Prepare the bang bang sauce while the chicken cooks.
  9. Brush or drizzle the sauce over the cooked chicken skewers.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 20 minutes before cooking to prevent burning.
  • Cut chicken pieces evenly so they cook at the same rate.
  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breast for a juicier texture.
  • The bang bang sauce can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
