Wonderland Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies are festive, chewy, and packed with dark and white chocolate chips along with colorful red and green sprinkles. Ready in just 20 minutes, they make the perfect holiday treat for cookie swaps, gifts, or cozy nights by the fire.

  • 8 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, add melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until well combined.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
  6. Portion dough into 9 large balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for exactly 11 minutes. Do not overbake.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Do not overbake; cookies will continue to set while cooling.
  • The recipe yields 9 large bakery-style cookies.
  • If you prefer smaller cookies, adjust baking time to 8–9 minutes.
  • This recipe does not double well. Make separate batches if needed.
  • Freeze unbaked dough balls for up to 3 months.
