Tasty Blackstone Fried Rice is a crispy, savory griddle-style rice dish made with chilled rice, vegetables, eggs, and bold seasoning for a better-than-takeout meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cooked and chilled long-grain white rice (preferably day-old)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat.
  2. Add vegetable oil and spread evenly across the hot surface.
  3. Add diced onion and cook for about 1 minute until slightly softened. Stir in peas and carrots and cook until heated through.
  4. Push vegetables to one side of the griddle. Pour beaten eggs onto the empty space and scramble until just set. Mix with the vegetables.
  5. Add chilled rice, breaking up any clumps. Spread it evenly across the griddle.
  6. Let the rice cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes to develop slight crisping.
  7. Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the rice. Sprinkle black pepper.
  8. Toss everything together thoroughly and cook for another 2–3 minutes until evenly heated.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Always use chilled or day-old rice to prevent sogginess.
  • Do not overcrowd the griddle to ensure proper frying.
  • Add soy sauce gradually to control saltiness.
  • If rice becomes too dry during reheating, add a small splash of water.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
