This 5-ingredient Rocky Road Candy is a quick, no-bake treat made with chocolate, marshmallows, and peanuts. Perfect for holidays, gifting, or satisfying a sweet and salty craving in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, bars, or melts (or a mix with milk chocolate)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 to 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cups dry-roasted salted peanuts (add extra ½ cup if desired)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 inch or 9×13 inch pan with parchment or wax paper and spray lightly with non-stick spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk while the mixture is still hot.
  4. Fold in peanuts and marshmallows quickly until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Chill for about 2 hours until firm.
  7. Cut into squares and serve or store.

Notes

  • Use 2 cups marshmallows for more chocolate flavor, 4 cups for extra marshmallow texture. Avoid going over 4 cups.
  • You can substitute the peanuts with almonds, walnuts, cashews, or pecans.
  • To make it festive, add crushed candy canes or holiday-colored M&Ms.
  • For a kid-friendly version, replace nuts with cereal or gummy bears.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top before chilling for an extra salty-sweet punch.
  • You can melt the chocolate using a slow cooker or double boiler if preferred.
