  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon oil
  • 10 to 15 drops red food coloring
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare a heatproof surface with a silicone mat or greased baking sheet.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat without stirring until the mixture reaches hard crack stage (300°F).
  4. Remove from heat immediately.
  5. Carefully stir in cinnamon oil and red food coloring.
  6. Pour the hot candy onto the prepared surface.
  7. Allow the candy to cool completely.
  8. Break into pieces and dust lightly with powdered sugar.
