A deliciously nostalgic no bake dessert layered with bananas, pineapple, cream cheese, and whipped topping—just like a banana split in cake form.

Ingredients

  • Graham cracker crumbs – for the buttery crust base
  • Melted butter – binds the crust and adds richness
  • Cream cheese – forms the creamy, tangy layer
  • Powdered sugar – sweetens the cream mixture smoothly
  • Crushed pineapple (drained) – adds tropical sweetness
  • Bananas (sliced) – provides classic banana flavor
  • Whipped topping (Cool Whip) – adds fluff and creaminess
  • Maraschino cherries – for color and nostalgic sweetness
  • Chopped nuts – adds crunchy texture contrast
  • Chocolate syrup – optional drizzle for classic banana split taste

Instructions

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, press into dish, and chill for 10 minutes.
  2. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, then fold in half the whipped topping.
  3. Spread cream cheese layer over crust, top with sliced bananas, then add crushed pineapple.
  4. Spread remaining whipped topping evenly on top.
  5. Add chopped nuts, cherries, and chocolate syrup as garnish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  7. Slice and serve cold for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas to prevent mushiness.
  • Drain pineapple completely to avoid soggy layers.
  • Chill the crust before layering for stability.
  • Don’t overmix whipped topping to maintain fluffiness.
  • Add lemon juice to banana slices to slow browning if prepping ahead.
