Peach Lemonade is a refreshing summer drink made with fresh peaches, lemon juice, and a hint of sweetness. It’s the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, great for cooling off on hot days or serving at parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh chopped peaches (about 4 medium peaches)
  • 4 cups cold water, divided
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the peaches, removing the pits but keeping the skin on.
  2. In a saucepan, combine chopped peaches, 2 cups of water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes, until peaches are soft and mushy.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, then refrigerate until fully cooled (about 30 minutes).
  5. Strain the cooled peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  6. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Serve over ice and garnish with mint or peach slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor, or substitute with frozen if needed.
  • Bottled lemon juice can be used in a pinch, but fresh is strongly recommended.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of your peaches and personal taste.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 4 days; stir before serving.
  • For a sparkling version, replace 1-2 cups of water with sparkling water just before serving.
