Holiday Meatballs are a festive, bite-sized appetizer made with tender meatballs coated in a sweet and tangy grape jelly and BBQ sauce glaze. Perfect for parties, potlucks, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian-style)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form into small meatballs using a cookie scoop or spoon and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  5. In a saucepan, combine grape jelly and BBQ sauce over medium heat until smooth and heated through.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring to coat.
  7. Serve warm in a bowl or keep warm in a slow cooker for parties.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat mixture to avoid tough meatballs.
  • Chill shaped meatballs for 20 minutes if they’re too soft to handle.
  • You can use frozen meatballs as a shortcut.
  • Add chili flakes or hot sauce for a spicier version.
  • These freeze well for up to 3 months.
