Halloween Popcorn Balls are festive no-bake treats made with popcorn, marshmallows, and fun Halloween-themed mix-ins. They’re sweet, salty, and perfect for parties, gifting, or spooky snacks for kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 cups popped popcorn (air-popped or stovetop)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 11.5 cups assorted Halloween candies (M&Ms, candy corn, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup pretzel sticks or cereal (optional)
  • Edible eyes, Halloween sprinkles, food coloring (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn using an air popper or stovetop method. Remove unpopped kernels and place popcorn in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Optionally add vanilla extract and food coloring.
  3. Quickly pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and gently stir to coat evenly.
  4. Add your Halloween candies, pretzels, and mix-ins. Stir until well distributed.
  5. Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray. Scoop about 1/2 cup of the mixture and shape into balls.
  6. Place each ball on a parchment-lined tray and let set for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Wrap individually for storage or serving.

Notes

  • Use food-safe gloves or lightly greased hands to shape the balls easily.
  • Store in airtight containers for up to 5 days at room temperature.
  • Label any allergen-containing variations like peanut butter or gluten-based add-ins.
  • Make ahead 2–3 days before your event for convenience.
  • Decorate with candy eyes, Halloween sprinkles, or colored chocolate drizzle for extra flair.
