Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp minced fresh garlic (about 4 cloves)
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat a 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat chicken dry with paper towels to ensure proper browning.
  3. In a bowl, toss chicken with flour, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter in the skillet until butter is melted.
  5. Add chicken in a single layer, leaving space between pieces. Sear for 3 minutes until golden.
  6. Flip the chicken and cook for another 2 minutes or until nearly cooked through.
  7. Add remaining 2 Tbsp butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Cook for 1 minute while stirring to coat evenly.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier result and cook an extra minute.
  • Gluten-free flour or almond flour can be used as a substitute.
  • Add lemon juice or red pepper flakes for a flavor twist.
  • Pairs well with couscous, pasta, or sautéed vegetables.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored for up to 3 days in the fridge.
