Doritos Cheesy Chicken Casserole is a quick, comforting, and flavor-packed dish featuring layers of shredded chicken, creamy sauce, and crunchy nacho cheese Doritos. Perfect for busy weeknights or potlucks, it’s a family favorite that’s easily customizable.

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or fresh)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 bag (9.75 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creamier texture)
  • Optional add-ins: 1/2 cup black beans, 1/2 cup corn, 1/4 cup chopped jalapeños
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and milk (if using). Add salt, pepper, and any optional add-ins.
  3. Spread a layer of crushed Doritos on the bottom of the prepared dish.
  4. Pour half the chicken mixture over the Doritos layer and spread evenly.
  5. Add another layer of crushed Doritos followed by the remaining chicken mixture.
  6. Top with a final layer of Doritos and sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

  • To keep Doritos crunchy, add the top layer halfway through baking.
