Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball is a festive, sweet and savory holiday appetizer made with cream cheese, white cheddar, dried cranberries, pecans, and fresh herbs. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks (8 ounces each) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup (113 g) white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (130 g) dried cranberries, roughly chopped, divided
  • 1 cup (109 g) pecans, finely chopped, divided
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped, divided
  • Crackers or pretzels, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, white cheddar cheese, ½ cup dried cranberries, ½ cup pecans, and 1 tablespoon chives until smooth.
  2. Scrape the mixture to the center of the bowl. Using greased hands, form it into a ball.
  3. Place the cheese ball on a 10×10-inch piece of plastic wrap and wrap tightly.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour until firm.
  5. On a plate, mix the remaining cranberries, pecans, and chives.
  6. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the cranberry-pecan coating.
  7. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with your favorite crackers or pretzels.
