Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spray a 9×9 casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined.
  4. Add soy sauce and thawed green beans; stir until evenly coated.
  5. Mix in 2/3 cup of fried onions and stir well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining fried onions on top.
  9. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Ensure green beans are fully thawed to avoid a watery casserole.
  • You can prep this dish up to 2 days in advance before baking.
  • Freeze unbaked casserole for later use, but add onions fresh before baking.
  • Swap cream of mushroom for cream of chicken or celery if preferred.
  • Add cooked bacon or cheese to upgrade the flavor.
