This homemade Chex Party Mix recipe is a crunchy, buttery, and savory snack mix made with Chex cereals, pretzels, nuts, and bold seasonings—perfect for parties, holidays, or everyday munching.

  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 4 cups Wheat Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 2 cups Cheerios or Bagel Chips
  • 3 cups skinny bite-sized pretzels
  • 1½ cups salted nuts (peanuts, almonds, or cashews)
  • 10 tablespoons (1 stick + 2 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 heaping teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1¼ teaspoons garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F and set an oven rack in the middle position.
  2. In a large roasting pan, combine the Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, Cheerios or bagel chips, pretzels, and nuts.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
  4. Slowly pour the butter mixture over the cereal mix, stirring as you go to coat everything evenly.
  5. Continue stirring until all pieces are fully coated with seasoning.
  6. Bake for 1½ hours, stirring every 30 minutes to ensure even toasting.
  7. Let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
